The harp is a heavenly instrument that makes even your first fumbling notes sound great. Now students ages 6–18 have the opportunity to take harp lessons from harp faculty at the Jacobs School of Music. No musical experience is necessary, although 1 to 2 years of piano in addition to a sense of humor are helpful.
An interview is required before beginning classes. Harp students receive one private lesson each week, participate in weekly master classes, and perform in a class recital at the end of each semester. Students will have the option of taking lessons virtually and in person.
